For an eligible outdoor hot or cold water leak, we find the leak within the agreed scope or you do not pay the detection fee. A minimum leak flow is required. We confirm that requirement and your eligibility before you book.
The guarantee addresses a specific worry: paying for an investigation that leaves you with the same unidentified leak. Combined with a fixed price, it also means a difficult search does not turn into an open-ended hourly bill.
Who carries the risk of a longer search?
We do. Outdoor leak detection starts at $895, with the scope and price agreed before work starts. If your quote is $895 and we spend six hours finding that leak, the detection fee remains $895.
If we cannot locate an eligible leak within the agreed scope, the no-find-no-fee promise applies. You do not pay that detection fee. Extra search time alone is not a reason to increase the agreed price.
This is a reason to choose the service when certainty matters to you. We are not promising the lowest possible price for a quick job. We are taking responsibility for the uncertainty of finding a qualifying leak and for the time spent on the agreed investigation.
Why does the guarantee need a minimum flow?
The outdoor guarantee is for leaks that meet an agreed minimum flow requirement. A very small or intermittent loss may need a different investigation. We assess those cases separately instead of promising the same outcome for every water-loss symptom.
Tell us whether the loss is continuous, how you noticed it and what has already been checked. The assessment needs to relate to the suspected leak, rather than normal household water use. We will confirm the flow requirement and whether your job qualifies before you book.
Do not assume that a moving meter or a high water bill automatically makes a leak eligible. If the leak does not meet the guarantee conditions, ask what investigation is available and what you would pay if it does not locate the source. Agree that before proceeding.
What does the agreed scope protect?
Your quote defines the detection work the fixed fee covers. A longer search for that leak stays within the fixed price. Additional pipework or another investigation outside the scope needs a separate discussion and agreement before work starts.
That distinction should be clear when you book. Ask which leak or pipework the quote covers, how eligibility is established, and what outcome counts as locating the leak. You should understand those details before committing to the investigation.
Does no-find-no-fee include free repairs?
No. The guarantee concerns the detection fee for the eligible investigation. Repairs, replacement parts, excavation and reinstatement are separate work. Once the leak is located, we can coordinate a licensed plumber for the repair, with that work quoted separately.
Pool leak investigations cost $1,300 to $1,700 and have their own scope. The outdoor pipe-leak guarantee is not a pool guarantee. Confirm any pool-specific guarantee and conditions in your quote.
What should I confirm before booking?
Ask for the following in your quote:
- The detection scope and total fixed price.
- The minimum leak flow and whether your leak qualifies.
- What happens if the leak cannot be located.
- Which work needs a separate quote, including repairs.
